While exploring wild parts of Wumpa Island, Crash is lured into a trap by the evil Dr. Neo Cortex. Since Dr. Cortex doesn’t seem able to defeat Crash, he concocts the plan to have Crash defeat himself and clones him. To test the clone, he calls his niece Nina to bring the giant spiderbot. All goes awry, crash is freed, the “Make-Another-Ator” clones 100 Crashes and Dr. Cortex is run out of town. Running low on Wumpa drinks, the clones put the device to good use.

Cortex’s parting line is swiped from Jamie’s Grandmothers excuse for needing to get back home to Tennessee after a long visit.
